COVID-19 Update

As we face the challenges of the COVID-19 virus, we are committed to protecting our customers and staff members to limit the person-to-person spread of the disease in Jamaica and in particular, within Paramount.

Recognizing that we face new risks resulting from this evolving situation, we would like you to feel confident that the management team is making every effort to ensure that we are able to respond to these challenges, not only in the short term, but in the long haul.

In doing this, we continue to join the rest of the population in adhering strictly to directives issued by the Ministry of Health and Wellness through their national updates and also by changing our routines and habits to protect ourselves and each other.

So far, we have put in place the following measures:

Protecting Our Customers

So far, we have put in place the following measures:

  • Issued hand sanitizers at the security post at all our locations
  • Installed a hand wash station at this location for use before entering the main office.
  • Greet customers, visitors and staff on entering the Customer Service lobby area with hand sanitizers and require that they use it before they can gain access.
  • Posted fliers and information leaflets in the lobby area.
  • Issued hand sanitizers at the Customer Service counter in the main lobby.
  • Increased the frequency and intensity of our cleaning and sanitization routine. All surfaces, including the customer service counter, doors, door handles, chairs and equipment are sanitized every half hour, or more frequently, depending on the volume of traffic.
  • Delivery vehicles are sanitized prior to loading and after delivery.
  • Increased and strengthened overall security in all areas (in particular, staffing, customers, products, equipment, property etc.)
  • As best as possible, we try to maintain the recommended social distancing requirements in our interactions with you.

Protecting Our Employees

So far, we have put in place the following measures:

  • Installed a hand wash station at our 8 East Bell Road location for use before entering
    the main office (At the 8 East bell Road Location)
  • All staff on entering the Customer Service lobby area will use hand sanitizers  (we require that they use it before they can gain access).
  • Posted fliers and information leaflets in the lobby area and strategically at all other
    locations.
  • Increased the frequency and intensity of our cleaning and sanitization routine. All
    surfaces, including the customer service counter, doors, door handles, chairs and
    equipment are sanitized every half hour, or more frequently, depending on the
    volume of traffic
  • Delivery vehicles are sanitized prior to loading and after delivery.
  • For delivery trips, the individual/team follows the sanitization protocol.
  • We increased and strengthened overall security in all areas (staffing, customers,
    products, equipment, property etc.).
  • Shared information/updates on the virus and initiatives to contain it.
  • Put systems in place to limit staff exposure by control of the number of customers in
    the lobby area, increased deliveries and pre-processing of orders for collection.

 

We appreciate your cooperation and encourage everyone to adopt healthier routines to protect ourselves and others in our effort to contain this virus.
