National Manufacturers’ Month Message- Jerome Miles, Deputy President- JMEA

This October, we celebrate National Manufacturers’ Month under the theme ‘Recover and Renew with Manufacturing’. This is much more than just a theme but rather a vision of where we want the manufacturing sector to go and the role it will play within society.

It is undeniable, how much Jamaica and the world has changed these past months. Critical sectors have been tested in unimaginable ways. These challenges however, hold key lessons that if explored can become a source of enlightenment as we seek to improve and recover.

Economic diversification, development of value-added products and innovation are some of the key areas of focus for manufacturing as we learn and look ahead.
