Paramount Prepares for Major Manufacturing Expansion

Paramount Trading (Jamaica) Limited continued accelerating its manufacturing expansion in 2025 as the company invested in plant capacity, quality systems and the development of new international business opportunities.
The company was preparing for a potential manufacturing agreement with a major international player as it sought to deepen its presence in lubricant production and contract manufacturing.
Investing for Manufacturing Growth
Paramount’s capital expenditure increased by approximately 17 per cent to $127.9 million for the financial year ended May 31, 2025, reflecting continued investment in plant and equipment.
The company also increased inventory levels as part of its efforts to maintain supply continuity and prepare its manufacturing operations for additional production requirements.
Lubricant manufacturing remains a key area of focus for Paramount. The company manufactures finished lubricants locally at its Kingston blending plant and continues to produce for established partners while pursuing additional contract-manufacturing opportunities.
Preparing to Meet International Standards
As Paramount targets larger manufacturing contracts, the company has continued investing in operational processes, quality management and workforce development.
Management highlighted the importance of internationally recognised quality systems, including ISO certification, as Paramount prepares to meet the requirements of major multinational customers.
Environmental, fire-safety and other regulatory approvals also form part of the company’s preparations to support expanded manufacturing activity.
Paramount’s manufacturing operations extend beyond lubricants to include food ingredients, speciality chemical blends and high-strength bleach for industrial, hospitality, sanitation and other commercial applications.
