PUBLISHED ARTICLE FROM JAMAICA OBSERVER
Paramount Trading (Jamaica) Limited continued its long-standing commitment to the Waltham Park community in 2025 with preparations for the 21st Annual Waltham Park Community Christmas Treat.
The annual initiative brings together children and families from Waltham Park and surrounding communities for a day of entertainment, activities and community engagement.
More Than Two Decades of Community Giving
More than 900 children between the ages of three and 18 traditionally participate in the annual event, which has grown to become one of Paramount’s most established community initiatives.
The Christmas Treat features rides, games, competitions, spot prizes, food, refreshments and entertainment, creating a festive experience for children from the communities surrounding Paramount’s Waltham Park operations.
Paramount Director Anna Maria Graham said the initiative remains an important part of the company’s relationship with the community in which it operates.
Supporting Children and Education
In addition to the annual Christmas activities, Paramount’s community programme has expanded to include educational support for children.
Through the Libnah Graham Foundation, gifts and scholarships have been provided to Grade 6 students preparing for the Primary Exit Profile (PEP), extending the initiative beyond seasonal entertainment to support educational development.
The event is also supported by corporate sponsors and volunteers who contribute products, financial assistance and other resources to help make the annual celebration possible.
Paramount Trading Jamaica continues to view community engagement as an important part of its corporate values and long-term relationship with the communities surrounding its operations.
