Paramount Trading (Jamaica) Limited advanced a multi-pronged turnaround strategy in 2025 as the company moved to strengthen operations, improve efficiency and rebuild revenue growth.

The programme followed a challenging period for the business, with management taking steps to reorganise internal teams, reduce operating costs and strengthen engagement with customers.

Operational Changes Begin to Deliver Results

A key part of the recovery strategy involved reassessing the company’s internal teams to better align employees with their strengths and Paramount’s wider business objectives.

Management also intensified its focus on controlling operational costs while renewing sales and customer-engagement efforts. Particular attention was placed on reconnecting with customers whose purchasing levels had declined during the previous year.

Early signs of improvement emerged during the third quarter ended February 2025. Paramount recorded a quarterly profit of approximately $9.3 million on revenue of $409 million, reversing losses recorded during the first half of the financial year.

Building New Revenue Opportunities

Alongside internal improvements, Paramount continued pursuing strategic partnerships and new business opportunities to broaden its revenue base.

The company’s partnership with Manpower & Maintenance Services Limited Group, announced at Expo Jamaica 2025, formed part of that strategy. Under the agreement, Paramount would supply and manufacture chemical products while also providing warehousing and logistics support.

These initiatives reflect Paramount Trading Jamaica’s continued focus on strengthening operational performance while building a more diversified platform for future growth.
